AJO Consultants is a boutique consultancy and training service that specialises in creating and delivering practical, thought provoking and evidence based programs.

Blending a deep understanding of organisations through extensive experience AJO Consultants combine expertise and creativity to ensure our programs can be readily integrated into practice. We aim to:

Andrea O’Byrne

Andrea is a consultant at AJO Consultants where she works with a wide variety of clients on people and organisational matters. Andrea is an experienced educator/trainer, clinical consultant and facilitator with broad experience across all sectors. In her consultancy work Andrea is passionate about safeguarding for children, vulnerable adults and people with disabilities. She is committed to making workplaces happier and healthier places and she develops and delivers development programs that impact positively on workplace cultures. She brings extensive experience relating to organisational review, policy review, risk, performance training and coaching.

In her work, Andrea draws on her extensive experience that include CEO/senior executive roles, teaching, clinical practice and consulting. Andrea has worked in the not for profit and public sector across a broad range of departments, as well as a number of local councils and schools. Her vast private sector experience includes local, national and global organisations, with her knowledge, experience and understanding also extending to the not-for-profit sector. Andrea has worked with Board’s and leadership teams to improve governance and to assist in developing strategic plans for the future including facilitating mergers and the development of crucial partnerships aligned with changing paradigms. Andrea brings a wealth of experience, a focus on strategic development, quality and risk, effective communication and engagement in all the work she does. She has received a number of awards to recognise her achievements.

Tony O'Byrne

Tony is a consultant at AJO Consultants where he works with educational and parent based organisations on educational and organisational matters. Tony is an experienced secondary school Principal, teacher and has been CEO of a not for profit in the family and adolescent services area. He has a broad range of executive leadership skills that have further been honed in national bodies focussed not only on high quality service delivery in education but also developing national strategies that require significant dialogue with Government at Ministerial level.

He is passionate about education and safeguarding children and youth. Tony brings a wealth of experience and understands the importance of networking within and across sectors, both locally and internationally, to enable organisations to develop an outward looking culture that affirms staff and other stakeholders to be the very best they can. At the personal level Tony’s professional career has brought with it a number of awards and recognitions that reflect not only the affirmation of fellow professionals but also the public at large.

Carol Fogg

Carol is a consultant at AJO Consultants where she provides consultation and training to the mental health, disability, religious, out of home care, foster care, child care and sport and recreation industries. Carol is an experienced social worker who has worked in government and not for profit organisations. She is an experienced trainer having provided safeguarding training and has specialist knowledge with recruiting, assessing, screening, training and supervising particularly in relation to volunteers and foster carers. Her clinical skills include working with parents, children and families with disabilities. She is trained in LAC (Looking after children), Shared stories/shared lives, Signposts, Trauma, Palliative Care and Leading with Standards (National Volunteer standards) and has a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

Carol is passionate about training and supporting services who work with children with complex medical and behavioural needs and mental health issues. Her consultation expertise also includes organisational occupational health and safety.
